Swimming Pool and Gym opening times at the Bay Filey

Updated: Jul 15, 2021

The swimming pool and gym will be open each day between 9am and 6pm, with reduced numbers due to Government guidelines.  Whilst staying at the Bay these facilities are free.

During lockdown, the team at the Bay have been working hard to produce the best procedures to reopen the leisure centre. It is important that whilst giving guests the best experience possible, they also need to make sure they are adhering to government guidelines.

They are opening leisure facilities on resort from the 12th of April with some restrictions in place.

Centre Procedure - All Guests, owners, and members.

  • Open 8am and close at 6pm.

  • Please book your 45-minute swimming slots at the leisure centre, due to restrictions a maximum of 5 sessions per person allowed i.e. once per day.

  • Entry times will be staggered every 15 minutes with 10 people entering during each slot, controlled with a coloured band system, and designated to a pre-booked time slot.

  • To end the pre-period period, the lifeguard will blow the whistle, hold a coloured card up which matches the band and ask the group of people with that coloured band on to leave.

  • One-way system in place, please arrive ‘beach ready’ and remove outer clothing in what was the ‘men’s’ changing room.

  • All belongings must be brought onto poolside and collected at the end of swimming session.

  • To exit head into what was the ‘women’s’ changing room to change and then via the One-way system back onto the corridor using the fire exit door next to the tennis court.

  • Following the government advice, no showers will be available.

  • For any queries, please contact 01723 518130 option 4 or speak to the team at the leisure reception.

If you are going to book a slot, please ensure you attend as non attendance takes up time and potentially means other guests are not able to attend.

The Bay have also put on some activities, including archery, rifle shooting and crazy carts. To keep the leisure centre from becoming overly busy, guests are encouraged to book their activities at  There is a small charge for these activities.
